4. General information on the processing of your personal data
4.1. Server log files and hosting

When accessing our website, your Internet browser automatically transmits data to our web server for technical reasons. In this context, among other things, the date and time of access, the URL of the referring website, the requested file, the amount of transmitted data and the IP address of the accessing computer. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this respect is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with our legitimate interest in providing you with our website and ensuring its security and stability. We only use this log data for technically necessary statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimization of our website.

All access data will be deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the site, unless there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use based on concrete evidence, that makes the further examination and processing of your data necessary.

We use the host RECOS SYSTEM SOLUTIONS GmbH to provide certain services in connection with the operation of this website: in particular, IT infrastructure, computing services, database services, security services, server storage space and technical maintenance services. In doing so, our host logs inventory data, contact data, usage data, meta and communication data of our website visitors on our behalf on the basis of Art. 28 GDPR due to our legitimate interests in a professional and secure provision of our website in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

4.2. Tape Selector

When you use our Tape Selector to find out which tapes are most suitable for you, we process your first and last name, your email address, and, optionally, your phone number. This data is stored and processed for the purpose of answering your request and providing you with assistance to select the tapes best suitable for you.

With regard to standard tapes, we will provide you with your individual selection of suitable tapes directly on our website and will afterwards reach out to you to offer further assistance in selecting the tapes that are best suited to your requirements. If your request concerns specialty tapes, we will contact you to determine the best selection of tapes together with you.

Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent with effect for the future at any time without giving reasons. You can declare your withdrawal by sending an e-mail to dataprivacy@linteceurope.com or by sending a message to the contact details given in the imprint. Please note that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data up to the time of withdrawal.

Your data is automatically deleted after your request has been fulfilled.

4.3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies (hereinafter referred to as “cookies”) on our website. Cookies are small simple files that are sent along with pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer or other device. We do not use our own cookies, but only third-party cookies (for example through Google products). In general, you have full control over the use of cookies through your browser, as you can enable or disable the use of cookies in your settings at any time.

The use of cookies is in part technically necessary for the operation of our website. We may also use cookies to offer special functions and content as well as for analysis and marketing purposes. However, we only use such cookies with your consent in accordance with Section 25 para. 1 Act on Data Protection and the Protection of Privacy in Telecommunications and Digital Services (Gesetz über den Datenschutz und den Schutz der Privatsphäre in der Telekommunikation und bei digitalen Diensten, TDDDG) and Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

4.4. Newsletter
4.4.1. General information

(1) You can subscribe to our newsletter, which we use to inform you about our current products, events and LINTEC related topics.

(2) We collect and process your e-mail address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter.

The legal basis for the transmission of the newsletter is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to obtain your express consent This means, you can register for our newsletter on our website, via link in the auto signature of our emails or via the QR code on the business card by entering your e-mail address and agreeing to receive the newsletter by selecting the corresponding checkbox. Afterwards, we will send you an e-mail to the e-mail address provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you wish to receive the notifications. If you do not confirm your registration, you will not be subscribed.

You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter for the future at any time without giving reasons and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can declare your withdrawal by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter e-mail or e-mail to dataprivacy@linteceurope.com or by sending a message to the contact details given in the imprint.

Once you have withdrawn your consent, you will no longer be able to receive our newsletter. Please also note that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data up to the time of withdrawal.

(3) When sending the newsletter, we evaluate your user behavior by collecting your IP address as well as the date and the time at which you opened or clicked on a campaign alongside your e-mail address. This data is used to create reports that show the performance of an email campaign and the actions taken by newsletter subscribers. For this analysis, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or single-pixel gifs. These are tiny graphic files that contain unique identifiers that allow us to recognize when you have opened an e-mail or clicked on certain links. 

The legal basis for the setting and use of cookies is your express consent to do so in accordance with Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG and Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can object to the above-mentioned tracking by unsubscribing from the newsletter.

(4) In addition, we process your IP-addresses and the time of registration and its confirmation in order to be able to prove your consent to receive the newsletter and, if necessary, to be able to clarify any possible misuse of your personal data.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with our legitimate interest in being able to prove consent in the event of a dispute and in securing our own claims or defending against unjustified claims.

4.4.2 Transfer of your personal data

(1) We use Mailchimp to send the newsletter. The Mailchimp provider is The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, Georgia 30308, United States of America. (hereinafter referred to as “Mailchimp”). Mailchimp is used, among other things, to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter is stored on Mailchimp’s servers in the USA. If you do not wish to be analyzed by Mailchimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.

(2) When subscribing to our newsletter, we will redirect you to a Mailchimp landing page. A JavaScript tag is inserted on this landing page. With this JavaScript tag, we can see via our provider Mailchimp, who subscribed to the newsletter.

(3) When data is transferred to Mailchimp, data is transferred to the USA as a third country. The data transfer is based on the so-called Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF), the implementing decision EU 2023/1795 of the EU Commission of 10 July 2023 pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the adequate level of protection of personal data under the EU-US Privacy Framework in conjunction with the certification by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The TADPF confirms a level of data protection in the USA that is comparable to that of the European Union, provided that the data is transferred to companies that have undertaken to comply with certain data protection principles as part of a certification process, as is the case with Mailchimp. 4.4.3 Storage of personal data

(1) The data processed by us as part of the provision of the newsletter will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and the Mailchimp servers after the newsletter has been cancelled.

(2) The information will be stored for as long as you have subscribed to the newsletter. After revocation, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously.

5. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making (including profiling).

6. Your rights as a data subject affected by data processing

As a data subject affected by our data processing, you have a number of rights, which we would like to inform you about below.

You can assert these rights to LINTEC Advanced Technologies (Europe) GmbH at any time free of charge. To do so, please contact dataprivacy@linteceurope.com.

  • You have the right to obtain information from us about the processing of your personal data within the scope of Art. 15 GDPR;
  • You have the right to obtain from us without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and/or the completion of incomplete personal data in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR;
  • You have the right to demand the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay within the scope of Art. 17 GDPR;
  • You have the right to request the restriction of data processing concerning you within the scope of Art. 18 GDPR;
  • You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR;

  • You have the right, within the scope of Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation, provided that the processing is based on a legitimated interest or your data is used for the purpose of direct marketing.

Please address your objection to dataprivacy@linteceurope.com. When exercising your objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not continue to process your personal data.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.
